Funmito Fehintola

Funmito Fehintola is a senior lecturer in the Health Promotion Unit of the Department of Community Health, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. She is also a community health physician. She earned her MBBS degree at the University of Ibadan. She completed postgraduate training as a Community Medicine specialist at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. She has twelve years of experience in clinical care and practice. She is a researcher with a strong commitment to scholarly enquiry into areas of research output that are scarce in her discipline. She has conducted studies in various subspecialties of public health, including epidemiology, adolescent health, reproductive health, and health promotion. Some of these studies have been published in reputable journals. She currently serves as an honorary consultant at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex. She is a CARTA Cohort 9 person, currently working on health literacy and key behavioural risk factors of non-communicable diseases among in-school adolescents in Nigeria.
