Celine Niwemahoro

A knowledgeable and experienced social statisticians and quality champion with a focus on research and data-based decision making. Celine has a broad-spectrum experience within sector that include; over-sighting financial reporting process in government agencies as a board of director. She has experience in leadership and management of teams that have consistently delivered on academic, and research and development leading to publications and technology development; research leading providing irrefutable evidence for key national policies; and leadership of research and development. Her research was meant to explore the experiences of young unmarried women vis-à-vis the use of Ante-Natal Care (ANC) services in Rwanda. The study found that, due to the associated socio-cultural beliefs about pregnancy before marriage, most of the interviewed young girls lack the appropriate support leading to the ineffective use of ANC services. With that poor utilization of reproductive health services, it was noticed that young unmarried women were more likely to have similar repeated pregnancies. If given the opportunity for grants, on one hand, it will be an opportunity for publications and advocacy in favor of young authors and their sexual health rights. On the other hand, Celine will  push further her research and focus on studying repeated pregnancies among adolescents as one of the measures to curb fertility increase in general. Currently, she am embarking on the journey of consultancies in the domains of research and quality assurances. Being a member of the association of quality professionals in Africa and having had adequate knowledge in quality assurance, Celine has been involved in helping different organizations to achieve their goals by providing necessary trainings. Having had knowledge in quality assurance audit, she is able to help to improve the compliance to the mission and thus minimizing mistakes and defects of an organization.
