Olufunmilola Makanjuola

Olufunmilola (Funmi) Makanjuola is a lecturer in the Department of Medical Microbiology and Parasitology, University of Ibadan, Nigeria and also a Consultant Medical Microbiologist to its affiliate Teaching Hospital, University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria. She studied Medicine at the University of Ibadan and thereafter specialized in Medical Microbiology at the University College Hospital Ibadan, obtaining the Scholarship of the Nigerian Postgraduate Medical College in Pathology. She holds Master of Science degree in Epidemiology from the University of Ibadan and has a Diploma in Medical Mycology from the Pasteur Institute France. Her main research interest is Medical Mycology where she studies various aspects of fungal infections such as candidiasis and invasive fungal infections. She is also interested in the epidemiology of infectious diseases, including sexually transmitted infections, and antimicrobial resistance. Funmi loves music and enjoys walking.
