Mrs. Nishimwe Aurore is a lecturer in the School of Health Sciences, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Rwanda. She holds a Master of Science in Health Informatics, a Bachelor’s degree in Population Studies, and an Advanced Diploma in Anaesthesia. She is involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research supervision, and community attachments. Currently, she is a member of several international bodies, namely the International Society for Telemedicine and e-Health (ISfTeH); the Brazilian Telemedicine and Telehealth Congress; the World One Health Congress; the Rwandan Association of Anesthetists; the Rwanda Health Informatics Organization (RIO); the Rwanda Allied Health Professions Council (RAHPC); and the East Africa Quality Assurance Network (EAQAN). Mrs. Aurore is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Health at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, sponsored by CARTA (Consortium for Advanced Research and Training in Africa). She is also a One Health Person, through the generosity of the Cummings Foundation at Tufts University, USA. She has worked with the Higher Education Consortium of Central Massachusetts (HECCMA) in the USA for her One Health Scholarship, a one-month internship. Nishimwe Aurore's areas of research interests include public health, telemedicine and eHealth, implementation research, quality assurance in education, and, more specifically, public health. She has two peer-reviewed publications and several conference proceedings publications.
