Yetunde Onimode

A Nuclear Physician who graduated as a Medical Doctor in 2002 from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Thereafter, Yetunde worked as a Research Medical Officer with a Malaria Research Group at the Institute of Advanced Medical Research and Training, University of Ibadan. Subsequently, she was privileged to have an MSc. scholarship at Stellenbosch University, South Africa, which was completed in 2009. She then underwent residency training at the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital and the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, which also led to the completion of an M.Med. in the same discipline. At present, Yetunde works as a Lecturer in Nuclear Medicine at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, as well as an Honorary Consultant to the University College Hospital, both in Ibadan, Nigeria. She supervises and participates in department research and training of undergraduate and postgraduate students in the medical and non-medical fields. She also offers clinical service to patients – reporting nuclear scans and offering nuclear radiation therapy. Currently, Yetunde is undertaking research on ‘normal thyroid function in Nigerian pregnant women.’
