Ochuko Maureen Orherhe

Lecturer in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Administration at Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. Research interests include optimising medication use in special populations (paediatrics, pregnant and lactating women, and patients with chronic diseases) using pharmacokinetics, pharmacogenetics, and pharmacometrics. Obtained B.Pharm from Obafemi Awolowo University; M.Sc. in Clinical Pharmacy from the University of Ibadan; completed M.Phil. in Pharmacology at Obafemi Awolowo University, with a thesis on the population pharmacokinetics of amodiaquine in the Nigerian population. Currently a PhD scholar with the Translational Pharmacokinetics Research Group, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Obafemi Awolowo University. Person of the 2023 cohort of the Applied Pharmacometrics Training (APT) Programme organised by Pharmacometrics Africa in collaboration with Certara; gained hands-on experience in modelling and simulation and completed a real-world data project titled 'Pharmacometric Analysis to Describe the Pharmacokinetics and Exposure-Efficacy Response of Ivermectin in Adolescents Infected with Trichuris trichiura.' Co-Chair of the Nigerian Chapter of Pharmacometrics Africa and a 2025 PhD CARTA person (Cohort 11).
