Winifrida Paschal Mponzi

Winifrida Paschal Mponzi is a research scientist specializing in social science and community engagement. She joined the Ifakara Health Institute in 2016 as a Product Development Officer, where she designed and tested vector control products for mosquito control and collaborated with diverse stakeholders to co-create these innovations.In 2018, she began participating in courses on qualitative research and community engagement to strengthen her expertise in these areas. Her work has been published in multiple international peer-reviewed journals.She has made significant contributions to the communities around Kilombero Valley in southeastern Tanzania, engaging them in various activities that foster collaboration between communities and researchers in the fight against diseases. Her work in malaria prevention and control includes co-creating vector control innovations with communities, testing interventions, conducting entomological surveillance, and performing qualitative research.She is highly adaptable, capable of working independently or as part of a team, with or without supervision.
